May Service Inc provides Missouri safety and emissions inspections.
Non-exempt vehicles must pass the state inspection when required. If there is no change in vehicle ownership, even model year vehicles must pass the safety/emissions inspection (unless exempt) in even calendar years, and odd model year vehicles must pass the inspection (unless exempt) in odd calendar years in order for the owner to renew registration. Your renewal notice from the Department of Revenue will assist you in determining when your vehicle needs a state inspection.
If it's time for your state safety and emissions inspection, visit May Service Inc.
We serve Warrenton, MO , Wright City, MO, Innsbrook, MO, and surrounding areas.
If you have a non-exempt vehicle registered in any of the areas below, you need an emissions test (also known as a smog check) in addition to the safety inspection:
If the vehicle doesn't pass its inspection by its due date, its registration will be denied. For this reason, we recommended prioritizing your state inspection once you receive notice that it's time.
The Missouri state inspection consists of the safety inspection and, if required, an emissions inspection.
The safety inspection includes checking the headlights, turn signals, horn, brake system, steering mechanism, all window glass, windshield wipers, and other parts that are crucial to vehicle safety.
For the emissions inspection, special equipment is used to read the On-Board Diagnostic System (OBD). If the vehicle is within legal emission levels, it passes the test.
